Roush to touch GM market
May 12th, 2007 • Related • Filed Under
Even die hard Chevy and GM owners know who Jack Roush is and his success in the Mustang world. Roush has been dabbling in the Ford F150 market as well but not with as much success.
The first two products to be offered is a power programmer and cold air intakes. These are pretty easy to get started with and are the best generic modification to start off with. Everybody can use and install these. Next they will begin with exhaust kits and suspension.
Having another major supplier of go fast goodies is definitely a good thing. Hopefully this will help spike up the market and bring some more excitement and bigger, badder parts.

And the Roush GT smoked the GT500 on Road Atlanta!! I think Jack and his team would do much better in GM!!!Just think how BAD a Roush GTO or a Roush Trans Am would be!!! Yall get what im saying!!!!!!!

Yeah, the new Camaro would be the perfect platform to let jack and his crew loose on.

we’re not saying that that jack himself puts his hands on the parts, but when you say jack roush, it includes his expert team/company

whats the deal with the saleen camaro i havent heard of this one.
Comment by RedStepside on 29 May 2007:
I think Roush Racing should stick to the mustangs and such and let John Lingenfelter deal with the chevy’s.

I have to agree with RedStepside……

They have Steve Saleen and Jack Roush it would be nice, but leave them their, they’re happy … Don’t we have as mentioned above John Lingenfelter or what about Mr. Joe Gibbs.

LOL seems like the AFL drawing up plays for the NFL or something wierd like that…
Comment by Acer2428 on 18 July 2007:
Lingenfelter is too expensive for the average Joe, whereas Roush makes the entire spectrum.
Their mustang business will flater if they do this.

Yeah, that’s gonna kinda kill ford. Even if roush does stick w/ ford and does GM as well, GM cars have a better name on the roads already, and w/ the addition of a private label GM so to speak, there’ll be no need for the “cheap and fast” mustangs and F150’s any more. GM will take over that market.
So I don’t know how that’ll work out. Ford’s already dealt with some troubles lately. W/ ford out of the way, who’s to compete with GM? I guess foreign auto-makers, but they only go so far, being out of the US. There might then be a monopoly issue at bay.

But a roush camaro sounds mighty sexy.
Comment by sooners7gators2 on 10 January 2008:
Not as sexy as Lingenfelter Camaro. If GM could get Lingenfelter to do some cars like the Camaro for production they may not be as expensive as the ones now. If Lingenfelter got enough cars they would have to drop their cost.
