im wondering if anyone knows thier res.... freq of thier truck?
i have a 95 c1500 extended cab and wondering whats the best freq to meter my system on?
i just went to my first SPL comp last week and even tho i had a huge problem with my cd player. i loved the comp so im definatly going to as many as i can! but i dont have a meter to play around with and that short 30 seconds goes by QUICK!!!!!!

every set up is going to be diff.. get a comp cd with a sine sweep and you're guarenteed to hit it some where. i changed subs and retuned and my freq went from 58 to 52. you can also play individual tones and watch the meter display. start with, about 55 hz and work up. if your db's don't move up, then go down and see if they come up. in 30 sec., i went from 58 to 62, and then back down to 52 on individual tracks with tones.

also, don't let anyone talk you into low volume testing for resonant frequency. i've seen quite a few vehicles that peak at a different frequency at full tilt versus 1/4 volume or something

I believe 41hz and 42hz had the same reading in my truck.. Shawn and I metered it last year at Carlisle. I'd have to search for my old post on FSC to be certain.

ya id love to find someone with a meter around indiana but closest i can find is 4hours is way up north indiana :read: :gone2far: :thud:
