intake question

is a 3.5 dia pipe good? im making my own with cold air box, ram air etc i found some 3.5 inch tubing, i wanted to go around 5 inch, but cant find a place to sell it at a decent price

on LS1, id use a 4.0" air intake. the MAF should dictate the sizing
in and out.
im having to use a 4.0" on my SSR 5.3L

you're still running the tbi motor in your truck, right? if so, then the 3.5" will work fine - Ive built a ton of custom CAI's using 3.5" with excellent results. also pm me, I have a few things to talk about...:D

i have the same motor as you, if on a ls1 a 4.90 is good i figure on my motor a 3.5 should be good

my other thing is, the intakes on ebay, i really just need the adapter that sits ontop of the TB, but does anybody know what size piping it is that comes off of there? or does anybody have one or one from say the airraid kit, i am going to try and make one, but i figure thats going to be the hardest part
