OK, thought this one up tonight. How about taking an aftermarket auto shifter, like something from B&M and putting it in the factory console. But put it in the storage compartment under the armrest lid, like where you could put a cd changer or something. I figure you could get the column shroud that comes with the manual trucks so it deletes the hole for the shifter arm. I figure it would be trick because it would clean it up a bit. Plus, if anybody ever tried to steal your truck, even if they got it hot wired, they would have a hard time to figure out how to get it out of park! haha. I was also thinking about moving the ignition cylinder into the console too, but I can't figure out what to do about the steering wheel lock part of it. any comments? I figure it wouldn't be that much of a pain shifting if the truck is an everyday driver, like mine, because you just open the lid put it in drive and forget about it, not like you are having to mess with it a lot like a manual tranny.

Mooneyes makes a electronic push button shifter. That would be kinda cool to have a smooth column with everything hidden away.

I just checked that mooneyes product out through google. I can find info on it, but where to buy? How much does it go for? Looks pretty cool. Probably could flush the display into the gauge cluster somewhere and mount the shifter buttons in the console. Pretty kewl.
