I'm going with two RE SE10's. the box is built exactly to what's recommended. power will come from my Arc 1500dr.

It's gonna be one more week b4 I order the subs and start working on the box. I can't wait.

comments/suggestions?

i like the design and i like the way up you laid it out. 1 suggestion..cut a cross section thru the aera over the hump...if you're going to draft it out, leave nothing to guess :D

Nice. What did you use for those blocks? It looks like some square tubing with one end cut off and then a piece of flatbar for gusseting support. I didnt know you knew how to weld.

Just a quick question about your sub choice, the reason you didnt get the IDs was only because of price?? I would have liked to see(actually hear) them in that box design.

some freeware program called CadStd. I lost the serial number for the copy of AutoCAD I have.

the blocks are just 1 1/2" square tubing. I cut two slits down the sides and bent the middle part in, then tacked it. Then just tacked the bolts in too.

I had four different subs in mind, the IDs, CM3s, Ed k's, and the SE's. I finally decided to just go w/ two subs and these seemed like they suited me best. And $165 shipped/each isn't bad. It would've been over 5 bills to get the four IDs.

Very nice job....nice to see the RE's making a stop here.

I am just about to do a XXX 12 in my tahoe....3 cubes tuned to 30hrz....tarantula powered.

Right I understand now. Thats actually a smart design because you have more strength with the sides bent inwards. Cool beans mane :head:

You need to start mass producing these and selling them. I'm sure a bunch of members here would scoop em up.

you won't be disappointed with the se's. I'm running 4 10's in my truck and they slam pretty hard.

What about legalities? What happens if one of them or both fails in an accident, and someone gets hurt or dies? I'd shy away from that only because of the liability issues.

please post pics of this finished. I really want to see how those seat lifts work out. I was looking at doing that in my NBS.

Hey Doug, did you also make the extension pieces for the top part of the seats?

no, i didn't have to. It works perfect...when the seat is down in the regular position, the back is secured w/ the hooks. but when you pull that strap and fold the bottom up, the seat back rises a little and it's just enough for the back of the seat to clear the hooks and the back folds down then. it's great for accessing the amps.

I added more port area after realizing they were a little small, which in turn lengthened the ports, so my new ports will look like this. Still 32Hz...
