View Full Version : Opinions on these seats???
What Do You Guys Think About These Seats.....
They are APC and only like 625 shipped and they come with the hardware to bolt right into an OBS truck... seems like a good deal to me
They look good . How's truck doing ? You get that coolant leak fixed ?
yeah it was the intake manifold gasket, i had to replace that, and my fuel injectors where clogged and 2 of them werent delivering fuel so i had to replace the fuel injectors as well.

Those seats are pretty slick, I sat in them before and they are comfortable, they are a cross between a c5 vette seat and a corbeau race bucket.
Ill be getting a set when cash becomes avaiable.
do you know someone who has them in their truck???

Yeah they come in tan with the black outline ill post a pic... i personally dont like the tan ones...... mostly because of the APC logos..... if they came without the logos i would rather get them. but if u go on stylin concepts they have a pic of them without the logos... soo i dono wut the deal is. Here is the link to the stylinconcepts site with the seats... CLICK HERE (http://www.stylinconcepts.com/parts.cfm/partfamilyid/1435/CategoryID/1/SubCategoryID/233) the only thing is at stylin the cost like a grand

I only breezed over it in my library :pot: and they looked good in the truck. The seat mounts looked low profile and good compaired to all the other "bolt-in" seats out there. they did'nt show the brackets up close to my knowledge, but again I just breezed over it. If I had to change one thing about them....I'd loose or redo the "flap" on the side that hides the track.
BTW, it's in the issue that just came to my house....not sure if it's on the stands now.

They had those APC ones at Carlisle
i have to say.. im kind of liking those summit seats now. and im planning on building a console so maybe it would be a better idea to go with the summits since they come seperate and the apc's you have to buy the whole set.... i hate decision making

Just a little information here for everyone...
Most racing buckets have a "cheaper" version available somewhere. Basically there are a few frame companies out there that supply frames to many different racing bucket companies. Say they build a Type R Racing Bucket, they dont just sell that one frame just to one company... they sell it to many different companies. Those companies take them and cover them as cheap as possible (or more expensive if they want to sell them for more) and then sell them to the mass public. Sometimes the frame companies actually produce the foam and covers all at the same place and then you have a lot of exact copies floating around confusing people because one person wants an arm and a leg and another doesnt want as much. Take for example the seats on Stylin Concepts... same seats as APCs... same frames, same everything, even covers, yet the pricing is completely different. Anyways... its just different mark ups.
I can actually get you a set of racing buckets in black vinyl for about $450 or so. These would not come with brackets, but they would come with the possibility of us making custom covers for them since we already have the pattern. We could pretty much recover them in any color that we have available.
Anyways I will see if I can get some pictures of them for you guys.

Yes I do have access to brackets and sliders. The seats also have adjustable lumbar along with quick release for to you pull the seat forward to access the area behind these buckets. The buckets I could get a set out in black vinyl for $450 or so and then the brackets I need to check on but I believe are around $100. The custom covers for these are available so we can completely customize them to your trucks interior. This is a brand new product so I am not sure on the covers pricing yet either.
well...... i like them, and if i can get them in black vinyl for 450...... that sounds like a good deal to me. do you think that if we got enough people wanting them we could get a group purchase... or maybe a discount on the brackets???

Your seats look pretty good. This is off topic, but I got a 1998 sierra and I was wondering you you all sold like leather door inserts to replace the cloth inserts that are wrapped around the door handle?

CKTA: I can make covers for them in any color or colors you want. Currently I believe they only come in black vinyl so you will have to buy another set of covers to recover them.
Citizen Rider: If you buy covers from us for the seats then you could leave the harness holes covers over.
any word on those brackets??????

Would those brackets you are talking about be universal, like if i bought seats from summit or somewhere would they still bolt right up?

The only thing is the Seats are made by APC, being an EX-Import enthusist this was the brand most looked down on from the serious import guys it seems to be cheaper made than almost anything else out there. There is a reason it is only 625.
