Ok so I got my exhaust cutouts put on on wednesday. They are awsome and I have had them uncapped this whole time so today I cap them off so it is going to run through the glasspacks. Before I got the cut outs my glasspacks were really deep and throaty and now that I have the cutouts on and they are capped my truck is really quiet. It sounds like it has turbo mufflers on it and not my glasspacks. Do exhaust cutouts cause the regular muffler to get more quiet or what is the deal?

i think its probably all relative and in your head, since you are used to how loud it was.

I was wondering that myself but I'm positive it is quieter then it was.

To quantify sound/loudness, you would need a sound pressure meter. You can probably access one from your local high school, college or by-law office. It is measured in db. If you like it loud, cut the glasspacks out or remove all the baffles inside the glass packs. Good luck.
