In my 2003 (new) GMC truck I hear a static noise in the Sirius(sp) satellite radio speaker located just above the drivers head. When I turn the motor off, the static noise slowly goes down sounding like energy draining out from the speaker. I am not a satellite subscriber and this static noise is bothering me. Any suggestions as to what is causing this?

What sirius speaker are you talking about? If you are not a subscriber, then why did you have sirius installed?
Do you have automatic climate control and you are referring to the little vent thing about the driver's head? If so, then that is not a speaker, it is a small fan that senses the temp for the climate control. They are notorious for being noisy and sometimes a new sensor will cure the noise. Hope this helps
