How do i get the billet steering wheel off of the damn steering column??? I dont wanna scratch it up it is brand new... It has the horn button with billet on it and the steering wheel is a half wrap with the black wrap and it has the 3-D design and my wheels i had before i wrecked the truck. I didnt put it on either i had someone put it on so i just left the truck at their garage and had them put on some other stuff and paint some stuff and i went to talk to them and they werent there and they have been pretty busy it looks like so i just wanna take it off cause i think im gonna sell it so if anyone can help please do... thanks :cheer:

Have you tried a steering wheel remover.. You can get one at most parts stores fairly cheap..

The horn button "button" does not come out, but the entire center ring with the horn button in the middle. Look for a place for a screwdriver to slide into the outer ring (not the horn ring, but the 2nd ring) and it should come off as one piece.

It is a billet specialties, I dont think they make it anymore. Its the 3-D one and all there is is the adapter,steeringwheel,and the horn button, no other rings.

Ok well i got the wheel and hornbutton off just cant get the adapter off now. I took the clip and nut off the bolt but how in the blue hell do u get the adapter off and where can i get an adapter for a 99-04????
Have you tried calling Billet Specialties? :think:

You need to use a puller to get it off. The adaptor is pressed on the splined shaft.

Yea man i didnt look that hard for it before. I thought that there had to be something to get it off of there. WIll any steering wheel puller work?? Also can i just take the wheel and bold it to my stock steering column and **** on my 99 or will that not work any was possible??? thanks
