Maybe a dumb question but would a ext cab truck work good for a sq vehicle. I mean i consider my exsisting stereo sq but not on real heavy competition levels. I have cdt components and ID v3s subs now with some dynamat but dang its tempting to really go all out haha. But the price is the crappy part. Either the truck goes big or it goes fast or it goes stereo which to do someday hmmm hehe

I would have to say no. A pick-up cab is a acoustical mess.

In all honesty I would go bigger and faster. Your system should be quality enough to keep you at bay for a while. What kind of lift are you considering.
btw...maybe upgrade the amps and add more deadening material everywhere! This will improve the quality with minimal $$

My monster stereo in my ex-cab has taken a step backwards every time I get better subs and amps. There is an air space shortage and so far I always come back to thinking about a cut-through or wall. Now sound quality has come up. If anything make some sealed kick panels. I cut power to all the other speakers and am amazed by how just plain 6.5" sound in a sealed encloser...

trucks arent really ideal for SQ systems, hence why you never see them in SQ comps...
since you sit much higher in a truck than you would in a car(compared to the floor of the cab, not the ground under the tire), its harder to get your soundstage where you need it to be without the dash getting in the way
kickpanels always sound about chest high
theres also lack of good places to put speakers, even with custom work, theres simply not good places to put them aside from tearing the ENTIRE dash apart and redoing the entire thing...
i agree 100% with the deadener idea
www.secondskinaudio.com
he was having some specials on his website, but best of all if you tell him you heard about him on the car audio forums he gives you a fat discount
email him, his name is Ant--tell him your budget, your truck(yr, make, model), and what you want to accomplish and hell hook you up
personally, sounds like your pretty much satisfied with your sound set up
id go faster :D
are those 35s or 33s?
**** starts breaking when you go offroad with anything bigger than 35s on IFS, id beef it up a little to make sure that the things that are not supposed to break dont break before the things that are supposed to(you know, they make some stuff cheaper so it breaks before the really expensive stuff breaks)
then id get a radix super charger :rocking:

33s with 5" lift right now. I would love atleast a cepek kit and 37s haha. I dont really offroad right now truck is just show and daily driver. 50miles a day. I am happy with stereo but then again i could always be happier lol i'm the true meaning of never statisfied.

More or less my system is finished for awhile. Or at lease upgrading and buying new **** is done. I may try some fabrication projects (I have some A pillar pods on the drawing boards right now...just need time). But as far as adding new stuff, I am done. Now I need to convince the wife that I need some 35s, 3" BLand 4.56 gears.
BTW, there is always her new ride for me to tweak the stereo on :) Now if only those damn RE subs would show up I could order the rest of her system.

4.10s also crossed my mind, but I am getting the 4.56s because once I get 35s, I know I will want to go with some 36s later on. I always seem to want to get more and more out of whatever I do.

i have 3" body 2" blocks and crank :) btw you'd get better miles with 456 then 410. I'd love sfa and 39s but aint gonna get the money for that let alone the cepek lol I did look at some 20x10 mojaves today though if i ever do go bigger :)

SAS=$$$$
nebraska dont put 20s on a 4x4, they look like A$$...IMO. 18s are the largest I would go and still have decent look to it

Already is a farm truck :) Sas would be like 15k+ for me cause i dont have the knowledge or tools to do it haha. Sound deadening make a huge diff then? Half of my doors are xtreme dyanmatted but nothing else. I really think i need a d300 hehe

Dont forget RaamMat 60, 62.5 ft2 for $79 off Ebay. Whatever you choose to use, it will help for sure. Door your doors (inner and outer shell) as well as the inside of the plastic panel. Do your rear wall and the entire floor including the firewall. Dont waste your time on the headliner, its the last place you need to deaden. If you want to go further, add a double layer on the floorboards and the rear wall because road noise is the #1 killer.
