do u really need to amp the rear speakers?
i was thinking about unhooking my rear speakers, their stock 4x6's right now,
and use that other 2 channels off the amp for a mid-bass upfront
and move my comps to the kick panels
i was thinking about some 8in mid-bass speakers in the doors and my comps are 6.5 2 ways, not sure how im gonna set it up so that the mid-bass plays only mid-bass but probably do it with a eq

well, think of it this way, what is the main purpose of your audio system?
you want to make it sound like youre actually at a concert listening to it live
well, if youve been to a concert, you know that the speakers are in front of you, the BAND is in front of you
also, do to the different wavelengths of the speakers to your ears, it will degrade your sound quality
some people say...well if its better, then why do all car companies put 4 or more speakers in cars?
well, the answer is simple--99% of the people you talk to do not know anything about audio--and if their car starts coming without rear speakers...people will feel like the car company is just trying to skimp out on another cost...
most people will think "the more the better"--when in fact its the exact opposite....if i could have a single speaker that produced every frequency accurately--id be all for it

I don't even run rear speakers in the car or the truck!

well i guess that means im gonna unhook the stock rear 4x6's and use those 2 channels for my midbass upfront
right now i have the rear channels of the amp turned down all the way, but alittle bit of sound does come out of them,
so i guess that means i need to find a 2ohm mid-bass speaker, because my amp is rated at 50w@4ohms or 100w@2ohms but the amp is underrated so i know it puts out alittle bit more power then that
also i came up today, at work they were gonna trash about 30ft of 2ga wire, and the fittings for it also, so i told them that i would take it out to the trash can for them, so they were like kool, ok go ahead, them being lazy in all,
so i took the wires and fittings and put it in the truck and put the box in the trash can, so the box made it to the trash can but not the stuff in it, i don't know why they wanted to trash it,
the stuff was extra from installing a battery cable jumper system onto the shop truck

nice find on the 2awg!
so you have a 4 channel amp?
do you have components?
if so you could just bi-amp them

i have a jbl p80.4 4ch amp
my components are jbl gto 606c, they are 6.5 2 ways components, they sound pretty clear and get pretty loud,
my sub right now is a 1.4 downfiring audiomobile mass 2012 svc 4ohm, the box fits under the ext cab seat, its gets pretty loud but its time to upgrade for me
i was thinking about moving those comps to the kicks and putting a 8in midbass in the doors,
because im upgrading my subs also, i want a good front stage that will be able to keep up with the bass
im gonna get 2 cv vmax 15's and porting them bad boys on 1100watts,
next summer i plan to get 2 more of those 15's and another jbl gto 1201.1 amp to push those,
so i want to run 4 cv vmax 15's ported, my truck is a ext cab gmc sierra, pulling the ext cab seat,
i have the stock alt right now still in the truck, i have 2 deep cycle optima batteries, but im not sure if im gonna upgrade my alt or get one of those battery cap 20's or 40's or something big like that,
but as of right now with my single 1201.1 amp, running at 4ohms, i have no voltages drop at all, the amp sees 14.4v and when the bass hits the amp still sees 14.4v,
as far as the boxes goes for the cv subs, thinking about 6-10 cu ft^3 for the pair
