got me another 62.5 sq. ft. roll of RAAMmat, the newest version that he just put on ebay. Used almost all of it on the roof, two layers in most places, three on the big open parts. I added more to the doors w/ the left overs.

this is my third roll of the raam, plus i had a little dynamat extreme kit, so this brings me to ~200 sq. ft. total.

here's a link to his auction, or you can buy direct like I did.

Looks clean and quiet.

You didn't have to take the pillars off for removing the roof?

i unsnapped them and was able to get the liner out w/ out having to completely remove them.

yeah it made a huge difference. especially since the new subs and box i put in. my roof was resonating like crazy and was very annoying. i took it for a spin last night and it's all better. :D
the raammat is great, easy to work with and sticks great.

i used 100sq ft on my roof and back wall of some stuff i got from ebay

and then i used about 5-6 rolls of peel and stick on my doors,

i plan to buy about 10 rolls or so of peel and stick and use that to do my floor,

i want to do 3 layers of that on my floor, if i have to buy more i will

i have 2 layers of peel and stick on my ext cab doors, but im gonna and one more layer their

that's also doubling up on the floor, front doors, ceiling, and back wall. you could probably do a single layer all over with 60-80 sq ft.

Just curious, how much does sound deadening help out a truck whose stereo will remain stock (blowse) in terms of deleting road/tire/wind noise and exhaust resonance? Is it worth doing even though my bass won't ever be able to cause any resonsnace?

I think that sound control is the absolute foundation of any vehicle.

Its more than controlling resonance.

It reduces interior temps. This is helpful if you live in a warm climate.

It reduces roadnoise. This alone makes it worth the price of admission.

It cuts down on windnoise.

Of course, all of this depends on correctly installing the stuff.

Rick @ RAAMmat is a great guy to deal with. He also has a great product at a great price.

all of the above is right on. in the heat here it makes a big diff.

and yeah, Rick is awesome. I've bought the original, the V3, and now the BXT from him. Always very fast and friendly. On this last roll I emailed him at like 9pm last friday night asking about ordering, he replied right away so I paypal'd him and he shipped it monday a.m. :cheer:

looks great belmontrider! I just spent this weekend putting 2 rolls of raammat in my truck ;) Its definitely a big job. I took friday off and barely got it done on saturday working pretty long days. I actually got Rick's last too rolls of Raammat60 v3. Got a sweet deal, and also bought a bunch of the ensolite stuff that he reccomends so much.

I will post some pics up if anyone is interested. I havent gotten my subs in yet, but hopefully the roof wont reasonate too badly. I know what you mean by cuts healing. This isnt a job for the faint of heart lol...
