What type, in your alls opinion, are the best components 6.5" for the buck. I've got about $200 to spend total. I do have some Alpines in the front that I love...just can't remember what model they are. Anyways, I know opinions are going to be varied but please try and stick with the brands that i could pick up easily at Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. I really don't have that much of a discerning ear when it comes to all the other brands out there. I do like Alpine, Rockford, MB Quart, Infinity, etc...I guess the big brands. Any help is appreciated!
BTW, I'm going to be using a Rockford 2 channel amp to power them...its a 225.2, if that helps

If its $200 you want to spend, I will offer you two choices:
*CDT CL61A 6.5" comp set...$149 from www.thezeb.com
*CDT EF61 6.5" comp set....$179 from DJDilliodon over at the Sounddomain forums. The EF series is a step up from the CL series.
With these comp sets, you dont need to worry about any rear fill, they will give enough staging by themselves.

I had the Crystal sets(have both the 2 way and 3 way sitting in the closet) and a few of my friends have had the CDT CLs and I like the Crystal alot better. you might also look into the Viper sets. They are supposed to be cheap and more comparible to CDT HDs which are a fine set.

Ide also suggest some eDi's... They have the 6500's out now, but will soon have a 6000 line that will be cheaper.

Sell him a set
wouldn't be opposed.
i also have an image dynamics id cham set as well. wouldn't mind parting with it. although the cone on one mid rubs the phase plug(doesnt affect performance but is annoying as hell). so i used to just use it without the phase plug.
