4L60E problems

i haven't had a chance to dig in yet. the gf's truck is a 99 obs with the 4l60e. i haven't looked at the fluid, pulled the pan, or done any line pressure checks yet. before work tonight, i did scan it and it appears to be working fine on the electrical side. a couple weeks ago, i was driving it and when i was coming off the freeway to stop sign, it did a "pop" like something bound and broke loose again. everything was fine though. yesterday, the same thing happened to her, but now there's no reverse, and from her description, seems 2nd and 4th are missing as well. it's been years since i've been inside of one. is the 2-4 band involved in reverse as well? also running in park, seems like there is a slight cavitation sound of the pump. i'm sure i won't get out of having to yank and rebuild, but do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone?

You can either have the sunshell replaced, get a new or remaned tranny, or get yours rebuilt...

don't have time to do the rebuild, i already have a gm reman coming. thanks for the replies. so my day off on friday, i'll be doing my favorite......tranny swap. hopefully they are using the updated shells in them now. seemed to be a weak link, now that i think about it.
