Denon Receiver

I'm changing up my set-up again and this receiver has to go. It's a Denon AVR-3803 in the silver finish. There's a small scratch on the top edge. The rest is perfect. There's a long list of features. Asking $450. Scroll down the page.....

If anyone who's coming to the Houston meet is interested, I only live about 5 minutes from the park. You can demo it if you wish. I was hoping to sell it with my Paradigm speakers but...parting it all out.

question: can it play 7 channel stereo? I have a harmon kardon receiver right now, and it's 5.1, and I can put it in 5 channel stereo where every speaker is the same volume, kinda like a car audio system. can this do that?

Well, if you look at the spec sheet you'll see that it has Dolby Prologic II which can basically upmix a stereo source to emulated surround sound.

have no idea what that means :D All I know is I have prologic II on my receiver, two modes of it, cinema and music. I would figure music would have all the speakers playing like 5 channel stereo, but they don't. I have another option on the way the speakers are set up, stereo, two modes on that also. 2 channel and 5 channel. I really like the way it sounds in 5 channel, in fact I listen to everything in that mode.

It will play in 5channel stereo, but the 6th and 7th speakers are only on one channel.

I would love to take you up on that offer, if only it was black :)

How much for the Paradigms and which models are they?
