I can't decide if I wanna stay static and do a 4/6 or just bag it. It's my daily driver, so I need reliability. Let the great debate begin.
Please help me decide.

4/6.
Then get another truck later on and bag it for show. =P
I'm working on this truck then when I am COMPLETELY (including engine swap) done with it I will start a OBs or 67-72 bagged project. =)

I'd bag it but do it right, use quality parts, etc... I daily drive mine!

i would just go static for an easy install, and the reliablity. Not to mention its a little cheaper ;)
get bags later on if u really want them... but for heavens sake.... i need to sit down with yur kid and tell him why euro tails are lame.

Stick with static for now. When you have something else you can drive everyday, then you can bag it. Static is just so simple and worry-free for the everyday grind.

If you dont wanna worry about it. Just stay static. I love my bags and everything, but you definitely have a ton more stuff to worry about.

all depends on what you want......If you do a quality install, the bags will be just as reliable as a static drop. Usually, the folks that have problems are the guys with crappy installs.

i vote static for the same reasons the other guys mentioned...i would love to bag my truck, but i drive daily and depend on the reliability factor...so for now, i'd just go static and maybe bag it later if you get another daily driver...that's what my plans are

static IMO i never had any problems with daily driving my old bagged rig, but i prefer a good stiff static suspension for daily driving.

How far u drive to work? DJM 4/6 is cool, or a good KP/ART bag setup is nice to....I know from experience lol

 static bags are for the cool kids. yea get a nice KP kit its only like 1K and you will only have to worrie about the frame ripping and bending  or do the KP with the new contitec triple conv. bag with the 17" of lift that would be tight YO!!! :charge:

As much as I like bags I would have to say go static just because it's a daily driver. I didn't bag mine untill I had a daily driver just in case I might have any problems with them. I do drive my truck almost every day and I haven't had any problems but it's nice to have a back up vehicle.

I only live about 10 miles from work, but I drive to Houston sometimes. My son lives about 30 to 40 miles away.

I am going with a 4/6 static drop on my 95 xtra-cab. I want to use 20" wheels and was wondering what size tires (I would like an 40 series sidewall) would fit? Backspacing? Any body have some 4 sale?
Thanks, Mike

I have had zero problems with my air suspension for a year now, and never has the truck been unable to drive, and I still say stick with a static drop.

Once again, I havent had any problems with my bags, BUT if you really want peace of mind, stay static. No bags to blow out, no air leaks to fix, no tanks to fill, no compressors to service, etc.

bag it MAN!!! people who say but its mantince free to go static What about oil changes on the trruck? Or checking your tire pressure? if you take care of your truck whats draining your tank once a week? and with all the "people" you know you should be able to "Do it right" Which means you would have a good set up so your good to go plus you need to show up that Ol' dodge that park nexts to you

I say bag it. Sure, there may be a few more things involved, but if you do a quality install w/ proper air fittings, Water/oil separators, a reliable compressor, and make sure the bags have plenty of room you should be fine. With todays advances in bag setups, they can be very reliable, plus you'll regret not bagging it every time you look at it if you dont.

Damn you guys got me wanting bags badly. I don't trust any of the work up here since every show I've been to it's hack city. Any guys who do bag jobs ( outlaw, beyond) or anyone else I missed. If you guys could shoot me a pm On how much you guys would bag a OBS ext. cab I'd be willing to make a drive down to make sure it's done right.

buy a full kit dont cut corners and the shouldnt be any reliability worrys of a airride kit
the a.r.t. airbar and coolride control arm kits are deffinatly worth the $$$$ and the ride is great
