im pretty sure i want 2 10's but i dont know what kind of woofer i want. I dont listen to any rap/hip hop really, mostly all rock/indie/and some metal. Nothing too bassy! What would you guys recommend? Also, when i add subs, should i replace the factory radio (Bose/XM/Onstar) or will it sound good?

What about the TC2 subs Excelerator? Those are nice SQ subs...and at $99 each is a great deal.

I'd go Diamond D6, with a nice Diamond amp to match and then replace the deck with an Alpine, thats what I did and I love it.

dem TC2s werent for me,they looked good on paper but bumped like a little girly subs, just too tame for me
I sold em 2 days ago
Ill never do 10s again, this was my third attempt at getting a pair of 10s to my liking and I cant pull it off,the difference in 12s is just much more to my liking -
Right now I still have Diamonds in my truck(2) but Im really impressed with the MTX8500 I have in my little car, I went from Ported (sledgehammer)to sealed (1.25cf) with the same 500w amp and it slams harder than ever sealed
much to my surprise, and gets real low,and no more big 2.0 cf box
its SQ is way different than a D6,not in a bad way just different
the D6 and the 8500 just have a different sound, with the D6 being more realistic while the 8500 a little more exaggerated and bold - badd ass
I like em

so 1 12 would sound better than two 10's for the type of music i listen to? I always thought 12's were really bassy and more for rap...? I just kinda want some more than it has stock, ya know? and keepin it cheap is also good, but doesnt really matter. And, i have the xm/onstar/bose/steering wheel controls crap, so im not sure about getting another h/u because its probaly gonna cost alot of $$$, but i dont want it to sound like ****, im pretty anal about my music sounding ****ty quality...
