do you have a digi camera, that would help alot. What you want to do is add raam mat to the insides of the metal door panel, and on the outside to seal it completely (minus door rods etc). This creates sort of an enclosure, also know as IB enclosure. The clips can be found at any local NAPA store, so they are easy to replace. Here are some pics of what I mean:

taking that panel off is tricky because of the window. more than just the panel comes out.
some deaden over it, some don't. it's all about what you want to trade off. blocking off a desinged cab vent or blocking more rear speaker wave. no big deal on the clips we all break them.

block the vent. You window is leaky enough that blocking the vent is not a problem. Its not like you will create a venturi and suck in your doors or anything like that.
FYI....venturi = vacuum suction

What kind of sound deadener are you using? How did the door panel fit back in place with all that deadener? I kinda halfasses did mine with what I thought I could get away with because I didn't know there was that much room behind the panels to put deadener. May have to pull those back off and redo it. BTW, I broke a few clips but I glued them back with some high powered epoxy.

I use Raamat. I broke two clips total. There is a ton of room behind panel

I have and used some stuff I got from JC Whitney. Looks like carpet padding with aluminum foil on it. Well I know what next weekends project will be. BTW, I got my panels off with two screw drivers and it worked on.
