im gonna run duel bullets on my 97 ext cab z, turned out behind the tires, will running tips make a different in the sound

completely agree...and be ready for a loud exhaust...with tips it might crackle a little bit...if u want no crackle then X pipe as well.

big long tips make a huge difference, give it a deepr rumble/burble
