What kind of truck and mufflers does everyone have.
I just bought a 97 C/K 2500 with the Vortec 5.7, (as of yet I haven't even payed for it) and I'm already wondering what would be the best exhaust. I got a flowmaster on my S10 and am happy with it. I want to try Spintech, anyone with a Spin lets hear it. How does your truck sound with your muffler setup? Mine is dual in, single out, should I get 3 inch inlets, the diameter looks closer to 2.5 but I'm sure they could make it larger.
Tell me about your setup????

P.S. I hope the Spintech is LOUD.

Hi, I have a 98 2500 chevy p/u truck and I just had a flowmaster 50 series installed and it sounds great. I also had dual exhaust added. p.s. the truck has a 5.7 also

i have a flowmaster 40series, single in dual out, with turndowns before the axle, when i had duals running out back, it sounded mellow witha deep tone, after getting the turndowns, its much louder with drone between 2000&2500, sounds badass

I've got an '02 5.3 with a flowmaster 10 series(race). It's LOUD, DEEP, and lets people know that I'm coming. I have the pipe and tip(chrome z28) to run out before the rear tire.

I have a cherry bomb muffler on mine. Went to replace the muffler a few years ago and they wanted like $100 for a stock replacement. No way. The cherry bomb was $14 and it sounds much better than a quiet one anyway. Sounded kinda odd with that 4.3 in the truck. Now that I have a 5.7 in it it's going to sound great. Soon as I get it all hooked up that is. Right now it's not connected. Will be in a few hours. But right now, it's LOUD and sounds like a race car since it's just header pipes.

if you want to go close to deaf , install 2 dynomax bullets with no cats:read: that's what i run . load as hell , and crackles when you pop the gas. sounds better than the corsa exhaust for the vette. louder and more aggressive.

that sounds similar to mine, still not loud enough:read: :D

LOL. I own a 1998 K1500 with the 350 vortec. Love the truck. Love my custom exhaust better. True dual, no cats, 18" cherrybomb glasspacks, and 4" SS tips. Loud, aggressive, wake the dead kinda exhaust. My buddy has a 1997 K2500 with a 454 vortec, and dual straight pipe exhaust (still has cats), and I can drown out his exhaust every time we cruise st. cloud. The police kinda frown on my exhaust though. Been pulled over a couple of times, but no tickets yet. lucky most of the cops drive loud trucks too when they aren't on duty.

ok i'm a wild one... i have an 88 gmc 3500, 454 tbi....i have Full stock exhaust.

why? i bought the truck like 2 weeks ago but i hurt my back a month ago in a car accident so i can't do any work on it yet. i'll probably put headers on it and run dual straight pipes straight out back.

Dual Mello-Tone Mufflers. They have the exact same design as the FM 40 but are solid welded from the inside. Pretty loud and quality sound. Not as much resonance at 2000-2200 rpm as FM

Flowmasters sound sweet but I know atleast where I'm from everyones got them. For my truck i went with a MAgnaflow, I think they sound pretty dam good plus I like the straight through design.

Corsa dual side exhaust with Dynatech Supermaxx headers and high flow cats. When you need to be heard step on it and the people move. Also has that nice rumble to it while idling.

Have a great day.

2002 2500HD w/ 8.1. Just about 2 weeks ago I put on a Magnaflow 3" di/do with a 22" long case. Sounds really mellow while cruising but has a great bark when I step on it. I'm really happy with my choice.

I have a 1990 K5 Blazer. Just put True Duals with rams horn manifolds and 40 series Flowmaster, exiting out the side after the rear tires. Sounds awesome. I really recommend 40 Series Flowmaster, my truck is running so much more powerful now that I have them.
