i was just wondering what for trannys that you can swap out on the 53 chevy. I am wanting to get ride of the 3 speed. if anyone could help me out with this i would appreciate it. thanks

look into a 5 speed from a s-10, cn be had for pretty cheap at the junkyards, different years have different 1st gears so look around
also the shifter more to the rear then the top load 3 speeds, so the ****er holes are not the same
but its a nice swap tho, overdrive gear
