on a black duramax, i decided on 16x8 8bolt pythons but dont know if i want chrome or polished. i wonder if chrome would look too shiney for a black truck with mud terrains? what finish do you guys think looks better?

Chrome without a doubt

Depends on how much mud and dirt you get into. If not much I would go chrome, however if you like the mud holes i would go polished, the chrome would get tarnished and loose its luster quicker, my two cents.

chrome, much easier to clean and keep clean - not near as much maintainence as polished.

I'd agree with Atomic, you can just spray the **** off chrome and give them a rub down and they'll look new. Polished ones require a **** ton of maintnence.

i had polished rims before i got chrome ones and i could sit there and polish a wheel for hours and still have more to go. chrome is a simple 10-20 minutes job per wheel, whereas polished is as long as you want basicly.

CHROME, definitely. I have had both and I will never again buy another set of polished wheels. I hate polished wheels. Chrome will look great on a black truck! Polished wheels are a ton of maintenance and they will never look as good as when they are new. Chrome just wipes off and it will look new. Good luck. I have had a set of American Racing Pythons - CHROME on my '04 2500HD for about 2 yrs now and the wheels were on my '02 2500HD for 2 yrs prior to that and they still look great as soon as I clean them up. Great wheels and excellent quality.

I have the polished pythons on my truck and their an absolute pain to get clean. The loose there luster in about two or three days with minimal weather and brake dust. I could polish one wheel for two hours and it would still look dull.

Definitely Chrome. I have had both and I will never buy another set of polished wheels again. Once the polished wheels start to dull, you will never get them to look as good as chrome wheels do no matter how much polishing you do. I had chrome wheels on my last truck and it took about 7-10 minutes per wheel to polish them. You won't be disappointed in a set of chrome wheels.

Definately chrome. Or black personally. Chrome wheels are nice on anything, but black makes it agressive lookin. just my opinion. :rocking:

I think they have smaller centercaps...I'd like to get a set, I'm not crazy about them now either
