I recently sold my subs and am buying aftermarket 4x6s the front is easy to replace but I have been told that it is not possible to replace the rear speakers, you have to cut the wire and put in a new speaker. If that is true has anybody put speakers in the front and back door pockets?

whats wrong with cutting the wire and hooking up a new 4x6? personally in those trucks i never ran rear speakers, but it should be easy (other than trying to get the rear panels out) to swap out the factory 4x6's for new ones. Check out crutch for some wire adapters that you could just plug into the factory wiring.

i wanted to ditch the 4x6's and install my 6 1/2's but the door is too shallow for the magnet. either i'll have to fabricate something or just break down and buy some 4x6's. maybe i'll just dual up the 6 1/2's up front.

Don't run any rear speakers. all the speakers should be in the front doors or kicks. Only thing you have behind you is subs if you have them.

ya dont need any special wire adaptors.... simply 2 crimp conectors and alittle speaker wire maybe 6inches max IF NEEDED just to make wiring them up easier...
