Escalade Glass 3rd brake light

Mark - after talking to you yesterday about the escalade covers you really got me thinking about he escalade hatch.

What is invovled with this? Can you just repalce the plastic? Or do you have to replace the glass as well?

What is the cost of doing a project like this?

Replacing the glass is no job at all. All it is is two E-clips (careful with these, they are small and like to jump) and unclipping the glass struts. Once you have the e-clips off and the struts disconnected and the rear defogger conectors disconnected, all you have to do is grab the glass and slide it to the left and it will come off. The its two phillips screws to remove the thrid brakelight. And Install the Escalade glass the same way the stock one came off. I can do it in about 5 minutes.

Yeah, I really wanna do this mod too! I would like to get some info on pricing as well. I see they have them at jpcustoms.com, but really expensive...:dunno:

I'd like to do this as well....any updates or info about this? I see JP Customs wants 650.....Could I just go to a junk yard and find a totalled escalade with no rear damage and take the glass/brake light etc? Would the whole escalade rear hatch fit on an 03 tahoe? Thanks!
