anyone ever do a DIY spray on bedliner? if so how hard is it to install? do you have to be a skilled painter to get the liner even over the whole bed or is it pretty simple?

Hey..
I have done hippo liners in many truck..it comes as a complete kit..comes with a special roller that allow you to DIY in your driveway...I personally only did the roll on once..it takes a long time..after that i bought the special gun to spray it...and spraying it is as simple as can be....I am going to do inside my cab (just the floor)soon too...and will probably roll that on...

Yeah thoes guns work okay...but not as good as the hippo gun i got...if you can find a retailer for Hippo Bed liners near you...i got my gun free with the purchase of 2 kits...so find a buddy go halfs and that will work out great...I find with the undercoaring gun it spreads out to much...Rolling it is the cleanest way...and looks the best just takes longer..

i did the roll on in one of my old trucks and i loved it. Not doing it because like it was said above it takes a while but it turned out really nice. Im pretty sure i did all of mine for under a hundred bucks

I did the Dupli-Color DIY one. It's fine for what I need, wouldn't say it's near as durable as a Line X etc but it's tougher than I expected.

I've used the Hippo Liner with a Shultz gun. It comes out looking great, and with the gun, you can vary the texture by changing how far away you hold the gun. I usually do multiple coats about 1 foot away, then on the last coat I move the gun back to 2 feet. This gives a more textured look. Just be sure that everything is taped of and you wear protective clothing. This stuff takes about a week to get off your skin. :(
