i know what you are going through. had the same questions i have a v2 blower on my 95 the way it runs is it does not touch the water pump has a seperate crank pulley that fits into the crank pulley you have now and there is a idler pulley built on to the supercharger bracket and it does not touch the water pump. as for the rest of your questions i have no clue. hope this helps however.

This isn't exactly my area of expertise but I can try and help. Running a blower usually lets you run a larger cam than a naturally aspireated engine could handle, so depending on what you want to do with the truck I don't think it will be to large. The compression seems a little on the high side, I believe superchargers normally run around 8.5 to as low as 7.5. It should work a long as you keep the boost down. I have no idea to whether the hypo's are strong enough. I'm sure some1 more knowledgeable with step in but and better answer your questions but I figured I'd give it a try. Goodluck
