Tires 305s to 315s Got problems?

I own an 02 Silverado 4x4 and I have a 3" body lift with 305s on 16x10s. I want to add a 6" suspension lift and some 315s. Im just worried it might mess up my transmission/engine (4.8 litter) if I go with the bigger tires. Does any one have the same set up? Any problems? My fuel consumption got worse after the 305s, how much worse could it get with the 315s?

what gears do you have? the only way you will mess up your engine/tranny if you don't re-gear it because it will be putting more stress on them. gears will also help with power/fuel economy a little
