i need a whipple

i was told today by superchargers 4 less that whipple discontinued the 88 supercharger kit for my truck. does anyone know where i might be able to find one? i've already tried e-bay. any suggestions would be most appreciated. thanks in advance

I need one too. I have been waiting to see what whipple is going to come out with. Call whipple and show some interest to them. I wonder if they are going to make the kit also. I was told by one of the sales people to call in a month to see if its done.

When Lysholm cut off Whipple's supply of compressors it seriously hurt Whipple's business. They lost almost all their customers and certainly all of their largest ones. They had to lay off people because they had nothing to sell. Nearly folding up shop, they invested in the technology and manufacturing partnerships to produce their own compressors. All available manpower was used to get the new products developed and production online.

The company's survival is nothing sort of a miracle and a true testiment to the commitment the family has to carry on Art's legacy.

They've hired back most of their key employees and are back the Supercharger business stronger and better than ever, but times are hard. They are still struggling to get production caught up with demand.

Whipple needs a little latitude from us, their customers, while they focus on restoring their product lineup. They've come a long way but need some more time. Patience - good things come to those who wait!


I intend to replace my 1.6L Lysholm with their own 2.3L new design soon. The new ones are better in many ways.

i can't wait either. i have a new engine for the truck and i swore i'd put a whipple on it before it went in. the next month of waiting is gonna be excruciating. but i'm sure the payoff will be well worth the wait. thanks guys.

I just called Whipple again. They dont know when or if they are going to make a kit for my 88 tbi. I am going to have to start looking at other options.
