I've got a 2500HD with the dual battery option. I'm going to hook a power inverter up to one of the batteries to blast a stereo on the river this weekend to lure in some hoes. haha anyhow, which battery is the starter and which is acc.? Or do they share?:ft:

They're wired in parallel, so they share.

I want to run a box fan off the batteries as well for about 8 hours in my tent. Do you think this will drain them? Thanks for the reply.

I'd say it probably would probably kill them. Whats the wattage on the box fan?
If its hot I just leave the rain fly off my tent... works great...

wattage unknown...it's a mystery.
wattage unknown...it's a mystery.
first suggestion...quit being a girl and don't worry about the fan j/k
i would say if you want it running, i would start the truck up in intervals checking the charge on the batteries to make sure you aren't going to need a jump out...either that, or bring some cables and a friend to make sure you aren't stranded out there. :read:
we have portable generators when we camp if we want exterior power, only bad thing about that, is that unless you have a LIPS without a spark plug, you can't run it at most sites in the high sierras. good luck

Just unhook one of your batteries before you go to sleep and if it does drain it all the way you have a fresh battery to throw in there.
LMAO...a box fan in your tent!
