today i took my truck and got the mufflers cut off. $30 and I got my muffler back so i can put it back on before inspection. :dunce: It also cost me $90 to get my brake shoes replaced because they were messing up.
sounds so freaking loud now

ive got a lot of friends that have done it they lost a lot of power b/c of it the good thing is you will get better gas milage some people say b/c of no backpressure you will burn up your valves just something to think about

As long as the catalytic converter is still on, you don't have to worry about the valves. The problem you run into with lack of backpressure is the engine "suckin" up cold air and that cold air hitting the valves which can cause them to warp. This is really only an issue if you're doing something extreme like running straight out of the headers or something.
