My wife broke  the inside door handle (don't ask me how... ) on the drivers side on the Suburban a few weeks ago and I'm getting tired of opening the door from the outside every time, so I guess it is time to replace it some time soon...:(

Since the panel shouldn't be too bad to take off, I'm more worried about the handle/handle mechanism itself... Any tips on replacing that? How hard/easy it is? Anybody have a website with info/pics?

Thanks guys!

Just replaced the drivers side one on my grandpa's 1995 Tahoe. Its pretty simple, you'll need to take the door panel off, then drill out the pop rivet that holds the handle to the door. Then you slide it to the left to un"snap" it. Then pop the lock and latch rods off and put the new one in. You'll need a rivet gun to put it in and when you go get a new handle from the dealership, don't forget to get a new rivet. Took me no more than 30 minutes to change it. Good luck! If you have any more ??'s let me know.

My brother's did that tonight.

Lifted97Chevy hit the nail right on the head. I think the door handles are nortorious for breaking off.
