Well since the truck has 300,000 miles but the body and frame are in awesome condition and the tranny just went it seems like a good time to rebuild the motor and tranny together the truck is a 95 2500 4x4 5.7L what cams are you guys running in your tbi's im going to go with edelbrock part #3704 performer for the intake and a set of speed pro flat top forged pistons but need help choosing a cam thinking about edelbrock cam #3702 but was wondering what cam you guys are having good luck with?

well, there are a couple of members running the 3702 camshaft
and to be honest they arent impressed. dunna know why, just
they havent like them and some have switched to the crane 114122
(2030) camshaft, now they are better satisfied. forged pistons?
planning on 6000rpm+ engine speeds or nitrous or forced
induction? if not you can cut your building costs extremely
but using a more suited piston selection.

a friend used these pistons before with 150 hp nitrous and held up extremely well over 3 yrs motor still ran awesome when he sold the car I will keep the nitrous less than 150 probaly more like 75-100hp

Since your truck is a 4X4 i'd look into a cam with more low end torque. Crane should have a few.
