I was wondering what kind of spray paint i should use for my interior lights? I want to spray the floor and door lights red. Also where can I find it? Thanks
good question I hate that light that's in the door i want it all clear or all red not half and half like it is.

i would use some sort of high temp engine paint that you can get at a local auto parts store... or the red 194 bulbs that are already painted from the same parts store... they come in packs of two
that's what i did, my doors *all four of them* my dome, and my two underdash lights are red

yes I used a high temp engine paint in a rattle can and it worked great. Used it for my plate lights, dome, under dash and tails. Very cheap and I got alot of compliments about it

For the dome light, get some of those gel covers Autozone sells. I have a red one on my engine light (it's a little hard to see the engine at night now but what the hell) and a blue one on the dome light, they are both deep in color and haven't faded. You just put them on the stock bulbs. And for the floor lights, the 194 bulbs from Autozone also don't fade and look really good.
Everything is $1.99 for a 2 pack here.

Yeah Badassilverado you owe me some money.
I went out and changed all my interior bulbs, I used the blue 194s for the floor and the door lights. For the dome I used the blue gel covers. I really like the look you get at night. My only complaint is that you can barely tell the lights are on during the daytime, but its all good.

What do you expect, they aren't neons. Those lights are intended for darkness, they aren't meant for daytime :read: :D
I've had the gel covers on for over a week and they still haven't changed.

I know that they used to have stuff called "Metal tint" it is usually used to spray on chrome that will make it look anodized, you can use this on buld, cause it is transparent.

Is their anyway to prevent the paint from burning off the dome light?
