I have an '88 GMC stepside, and I want do a 4/6 drop.

My question is, will I be able to use my stock 15" wheels for the winter?

If not, what would my options be?

Thanks!!!
Rick

Yes, they will fit - unless you have really tall tires. Then you might run into some interference problems.

As long as you trim the rain gutters on the front and back of the lower control arms they'll work . Shorter diameter tires are also a good idea . Something in the 27" diameter would be good

You only have to trim the backside rain gutter. :read:

255/60/15 is the perfect size tire.

When was the last time they saw steelies or factory aluminum 15's? The front rubbed just as bad as the backs on all the ones I've done.

Must be just with steelies, I never had rubbing on the front side with Jess' truck and the stockers. :dunno:

i had rubbing. it all depends on the spindle brand too. some you have to bend the brake lines, others you dont.
