boosting my AM signal

Is there a way to boost my AM signal? I have a sony deck, middle of the road, and i listen to lots of sports talk and baseball, but cannot get any signals to come through. Any help??

Get a Sirius you can listen to all the sports talk and other sports related topics with great reception, or just get a signal booster from radio shack
