hey guys im really thinkin about going with a bigger kit then my 4" suspension and 2" body. i was thinkin about getting a 12" suspension with some 37"s or so under it. the kit would prob be 2700 or more lets say. i think the ORU kit is around 900 bucks or so. how much more money would i have to invest to get this kit working and under my truck?
let me know what you guys think.

Aren't you out of luck for a ORU kit? I think the only kit they make for 99 and up is for the HDs. Maybe I'm mistaken though...

umm will prolly be a whole lot more that 3000 for the oru kit because even if they make it for yours and its 900 you still have to find a front axle, springs, gears, drive shaft etc. Are you going to be doing all the work yourself? cause if you have a shop do it then its gonna be outrageous.
talk to bggrnchevy about his or willyswanter there are some others too but can't remember their names.

i would prob do it with some of my friends help but still it seems like alot of work and it is my daily driver. it would take alot of time, money and sweat to get it right, but in the end it would be one bad ass truck. hmmm i have to think about this, even tho i will prob just end up doin a big ifs kit.
who knows.

I would stick with ifs if you are only running a 37. Mine is doing great so far with the 37's.

a good quality sas will vary on your bargaining skills and fabrication abilities, but anywhere between 1,000 and 3,000 is the usual.

If you have the cash, SFA
Otherwise, I'd stay where you are at, IMHO.
edit: I like your truck the way it is, but weld up that "hole" where I can look thru your exhaust tip. I like the stance, I'd leave it as is, etc...

^^^I agree w/ him. Your truck looks nice like it is. A very aggressive stance and overall, it just sits good. If you just have to be bigger, take that 3k and buy and old school chevy. One w/ a solid axle already and put 44's or bigger.
Just my opinion though.

Yeah, that truck is definately sweet the way it is. I would also agree with the second truck, then you have an extra to drive around if one's broken.

What do you intend to use this truck for? You don't need 14" to clear 37's, if fact it will probably sky over the tires and look gay. Keep the lift to around 10-11" max if you want 37's. You really can't go with much bigger tire on IFS if you want to wheel it. You could get a Dana 44, rebuild it, and use brackets off a 73-87Chevy to do a leaf spring SAS for about $3k if you can do some fabrication and the work yourself.

the truck is turnin into a show truck slowly but surely. the reason i wanna go bigger is for show and it rubs the 35's. my t-bars are cranked but i think they are saggin bad. would brand new t-bars fix this? and maybe i should upgrade to ford keys to get the front end level with the rear?

well if its a show truck youll probly get more looks with a SFA than a huge bracket on the front
i say SFA wether its for offroad or show

SFA is gunna cost more than the ifs lift. IMO save your money until you can afford the sfa swap.
