Hey!

I was originally wanting a 454, but after looking around, I noticed I could get a semi built crate 350, and wake it up, for roughly the same price, with less weight, hassle, modifications, ect.

Anyway, I am wanting around 500 HP. Is this too much to ask for with a 350? Also, what would be the best route to go. A blower would be nice, but I wont want to get another hood. If possible, I would like to keep the same hood I have right now.

I will be drag racing with it, so the most power I can get, especially off of idle, would be nice.

BTW my truck is a 79 Cheyenne.

Thanks!

Small-block Chevys can live long & happy lives at anything UNDER 600 hp! I personally have a '94 Z-28 w/ LT1 350 & Powerdyne SC that has lived for almost 50k miles & pushes around 450 hp with NO internal mods.
My Z just turned 84000 miles, & the SC went on at 35000. I don't flog it ALL the time, but it begs to be unleashed, so I don't baby it either.
Injection is nice, as long as it's blown!
