Whats wrong with these subs?

Ok, Awhile back i bought a kenwood amp, kenwood KFC-W3010 (1000peak, 200rms I think)I hooked em up and they barely hit at all! Like i couldnt even hear them in the car with the bass all the way up. Anyways, My GF has 2 12s Rockford Fosgate about the same wattage(nothing special) and they hit the way i want em to. Also, the kenwoods are dual 12s. What could be the deal. the box that came with the package seems ok i would think there wood be that much of a difference! What is it?

Ok, the box is 1.25 cubic feet per side and the subs are 4 ohms and it says the amp should put out 150x2 for 4 ohms.

How are they wired? Are they in phase?

Phase? Whats that? I just wired the regular way, not bridged or anything.
