What does everyone think of this box? It is much cheaper than I have seen anywhere else. Has any one had experience with it?

It looks like 5/8" MDF which isn't thick enough for a lot of power, you could email them and check though. I like dead boxes for SQ and that is my only concern. For me on a sub though anything less than a 1.5" baffle isn't enough, but I build boxes like people who build home subs would. The more bracing and support the less the coloration. For a pre-built that might be ok though.

Please tell me what you think of the box when you get it. I would rather spend $90 on a box than $175 of it is a good quailty box.

Thanks,

I have one in my 03 Silverado, I think I paid 100 bucks last year and enjoy it. Very loud when I want to be obnoxious. I have since modified it to fit JL 12”s. I had a Sony 500Watt pushing my 10" pioneers. But the amp wasn't enough to push both 12"s. when bridged I can make one 12" sound like my two 10"s. Now I’m in the hunt for a new amp.

Two recommendations

Because the box is less than a cubic foot for each enclosure buy some poly fill (I think its $7 a bag or so) and fill the box before screwing the speakers down. “Poly-Fil Stuffing Make your subwoofer think it's in a bigger box” quoted from crutchfield

Also, think about switching out your 6 ˝"s up front if you have not already. This bass will drown out everything else.

when you order one they have to build it and they said that it takes about a week to build and ship it. it has been over a week now without getting a tracking number so i hope your not in a hurry to get it:dunno:
