That's a Ford Ranger by the guys over at AAC in Canada. Rob and them are holding it down for air hoppers in Canada that's for sure.
The truck does not have a motor or transmission in it and the air managment is all external. Doesn't matter because it still puts a good show on for everyone.

Here's some pictures of our hopper doing it's thing as well. This one is a complete driver with the original drivetrain in it, along with all the air managment. Truck has done 89 inches in the rear, 78 in the front, and can pancake over 72 inches as well.

The AAC hopper is cool, and the second one is bad ass to be doing that with a full drivetrain and the nitro tanks in it. Damn thats alot of weight to be hopping around like that.

I drew up some Blueprints for a tube chassis air dancer, I have lots of time on my hands since the accedent. I hope one day i can build it. I wanna compete with other air hopper, Cause you know one day air hopping will be competitive as hydro hopers! I bet money in 5 years you go to a big show like ITB or heatwave they will have the hydro dance and the hydro hop and then the air dance and the air hop.

I got a question about that ACC hopper does that thing just hop or does it dance? Looks like the switchbox is small like only 2 or 3 switchs? Does it just have front up, back up, all up?

Man I bet that entire truck weighs less than 1500 pounds. It looks like they're using crdboard for windows, and you can see that the inner bed and tailgate are gutted.

For all the weight that was taken out. A lot was put back in. Full frame wrap. The from I beams and Raduis arms weight a couple hundred pounds each. The truck is front heavy now and needs to be weighed out more evenly.

Here is a video from last year. Its on of the better ones.

I agree about the stuff taken out was replaced with more chassis metal. IM sure it weighs less than stock just not much less.

If that switchbox has a switch for each corner then thats a pretty cool switch man to control it like that.

Also I drew up blueprints for a air dancer chassis, does anyone know of a "cad" style program I can put the together on the PC? oh yeah did i mention free program? :aniteef:
