Dumb hei question

Whats the best way to unplug the coil on a distributor with the coil in the cap. It's loose and I can wiggle it back and forth, but it wont unplug and I really dont want to break the connector This is on an 84 305

usually you can just wiggle it enough it will come out..... if not you might try a flat head screw driver and stick in there and slightly pry it down.....
