Adding 2 amps to a 06 cc sierra

I am adding 2 amps to my truck. I am adding a 4ch for the doors which i have replaced the speakers and one for the subs. I am keeping the stock hu and want to know if i can cut the wiring harness and put the loc on the output on the radio and extend the wires that go to the speakers to the output of the amps. Also, which wire do i use for a remote?

yes you can do that but i wouldnt cut the harness just yet i think they make a "T" as for your remote what i usaully do is get the brown or orange wire from underneath your steering colum you have to get it there because your truck doesn't have an accesory behind the radio
