That's a heavy boat - how big is it?

I would think so. I've seen some big boats pulled out by some little trucks! Shouldn't be too big of an issue, especially if your ramp isn't like a 50% grade!

It is a 22 ft deck boat. I went a little high on the weight. Dry weight is about 3500 before fuel, ice, etc.

I don't see it as a problem. Check your owner's manual.

yeah, that sounds a little high. I don't think you'll see any problems towing it or getting it out of the water.

I agree. I don't think you will have any problem with a boat under 6000 lb depending on the grade or worn out tires.
It would be nice on the ramp if you had 4wd.

2003-2005 you can get AWD (2003-2004 standard, 2005 option)

ya i would think you would be fine trailoring that boat and launching/pulling out. We used to have a 29 foot Fountain speed boat and we pulled it with our 1997 1500 2wd and it did fine...So with the SS id think it would work out.

Ive done it with my 2005 silverado and my 93 s10 with at least that much weight. The key is having enough traction, 4x4 is a must on a slope.
If all else fails, throw it in 4 low and creep up the ramp. If you are afraid of slipping, put some weight in the box, but I don't see that being a problem with AWD.
Just remember to bring a snokel, just in case.

U will be fine, i tow a 5500lbs off-road race truck behind my 2003 1500 with a 5.3l, 4l60e and ****ty 10 bolt all day long. The SS will be fine especially with the heavier duty tranny/rear end

Thanks for the responses. As you all stated, I am also sure the power plant would be fine, just wasn't sure if the suspension set-up would be a problem.
The trailer does have brakes. I believe it is law in FL that all trailers over a certain length have brakes. Besides it is tandem axle, so the tongue weight will not be a problem.
