I am putting on a RCD 6" kit on an 2002 Silverado 1500. Has anyone installed this kit recently? It calls for cutting the top mount off the differential as well as cutting the rear lower control arm frame and welding in a supplied piece of metal. Any tips would be appreciated. Also the top mount on the diff gets hung up when trying to remove the diff. any tips here. MUCH APPRECIATED!

Probably your best bet is to call RCD Customer service. I'm sure they will be able to help you out. Their phone number should be on the instructions

Ya I installed mine in August. It was pretty easy, I went to Trailmasters web site for their instructions, they are much easier to read and much better pictures. I know you said RCD kit but the same person designed the kit for both companies "I was told". But you do need to cut off the lower control arm location bracket, frame cross support and the differential. I'll send pics if you need.

it sounds like a superlift install....its not a big deal if you can weld a little

Hey man let me know what you think of your lift I got the same truck, same lift and all but it just seems my truck is a little on the short side compared to other six inchers

If the truth be known the RCD lift actually uses 5 1/2 " spindles, not 6".
