Im getting one of the Kenwood in dash DVD players soon. I have the Bose system. What do I need to incorporate the Kenwood with the Bose and keep door chimes & steering wheel controls. I dont care about Onstar. Im sure PAC has the products I need. Anyone have any part #'s for me?

Also, reccomend a Kenwood if you have one you like!

Since 2003 GM has been wiring all of their door chimes and seatbelt warnings and what not in through the head unit. I talked to about 5 different electronic stores and they all said that the only way they could keep all of it with the new head unit was if i payed an extra 100 dollars for a small computer "brick" as they liked to call it. The only way (that i know of) you can get one of these bricks is if you have the people you buy the unit from wire it in themselves. Even if you find an alternative to that, its gonna cost you an extra $100 either way. Sorry man, thats just the way it is. I dont have the dvd, but i own Kenwood's KDC-MP2032 h/u, and im very happy with it.

Ok, scratch the door chimes. How do I keep the steering wheel controls?

this unit works with alpine, kenwood, jvc, and blaupunkt. Allows you to keep your steering wheel controls.
