I don't know that much about subs and i was wondering which subs would give me the best thump for my money. (I listen to music with a lot of bass)

Those were pretty cool but i saw those 10" TDXs and think i might get those.(plus they have free shipping) But im still open for any more ideas.

"best thump for my money" is pretty subjective. All things considered, the D3s Cody refers to are a great value at that price. No question the TDX is a great sub, it is just that the two subs differ significantly in required "buck". What is your budget?

I want to try and stay around the one thousand mark for two subs and an amp. Btw, if i were to get 2 subs would i need a 2-channel amp or would a mono amp be okay? (i was lookin at 2 TDX10D4s and a Hifonics BX 1605D amp on onlinecarstereo.com)

Hi Larry,

I'm building two boxes right now; a new one for my son and one for his best friend. Then ...... it will be one for me. For that one my friend, I'll need your design help.

I can't believe my box STILL isn't done. We are remodeling our house (seemingly forever), and I term'd one of the mgrs that reports to me - so its has been nothing but OT to keep things in line. I HATE things left undone; so not having built it leaves me with an overwhelming sense of failure. I know - I better stop whining.

This is promise, you'll be getting a PM within the next two weeks.

How is the 383? Are we leaving massive black stripes on the blacktop yet?

Regards,
Beau

Im not really on a budget but i don't wanna get ripped off, by buying a piece of sh!t. Thats what I meant by "for my money"

OK. About how much per sub would you like to spend? Depending on your wallet - here are a few you might want to look at:

TC Sounds TC-1000, TC-2000 or TC-3000
Sound Splinter Rl-p or Rl-s
Audioque SD2, SD2.5 or HD3
Diamond D3, D6 or D9
Digital Designs 25XX series or 35XX series
Fi Caraudio SSD, Q or BTL
Crystal Mobilesound COMPX Series
Treo TSI, TSX or SSI

For a really good, really low $$ performer - I've read really good things about the Phoenix Gold Rsd 10" and 12"; both of which are far less than $100 per at Etronics.

Were you to pick any from this list, I think you would be very pleased.

I'm sure I overlooked a lot of good subs, maybe more than the number I've named. Some people (say Cody for instance) just LOVE eD [Cody explodes in 5, 4, 3,2,1...) other favor RE, etc.

There are a tremedous number of good subs on the market.

Good luck and have fun looking!!!

I have yet to have an issue with my polk audio sub. I don't put too much juice to it, nor crank it real loud either. Clean bass though.

I want 2 RE 8 inch woofers.

Can someone help me decide?

My local car audio dealer was talkin crap about treo subs, but i have heard nothing but good things about them. Im thinkin about gettin two TSi's. I have a Phoenix Gold Xenon 400.1 amp. They told me they would break, and they told me my best bet was to get two JL Audio's 13W3v3's. Can someone compare them for me?

I've heard nothing but good things about Treo. I think there may be one for sale elsewhere on this forum.

95Stroked1500 is the person to ask on Treo (and most other things - at least that is what I think).
