This is probably in nthe wrong section, but maybe part will fit.

I just recently signed up for Napster To Go. With it I get a 512 MB MP3 player with a 3 month subscription. The site does not give a lot of info on what things cost, but this listed unlimited downloads with the 3 month subcription of $14.95 month (with the MP3 player). After getting in, I was just browsing around looking for info and not really finding anything to answer questions. So I send in an email. I get a replay back stating that I can download unlimited music and listen to them on my computer or the MP3 player for free as long as I am a mamber. :wtf:. Granted, my bad for not checking into it a better initially. But seems like for a monthly fee, you should be betting something to keep. I will not continue after the 3 months. I only wanted to get some music back that was in the truck. The say that the music will "expire" after my subcription ends. Is there anyway around that? Or did I just pay to listed to they "radio" for 3 months?

I used to use WinMX, but they seen to be dead now. Then I went to LimeWire, and the music there seems to not have a quality sound. Any other sites worth using? Or is Napster it?

I use WinMx all the time. I don't have a problem finding anything there.

Maybe I will try downloading it again. Last time I logged in, it would never connect.

Go to winmxworld and get the latest 3.0 peer cache and install it. You will be back in no time.

I'll try that. I would keep the napster, but I don't want to pay to use and not be able to keep unless I pay more. I checked on one album last night, they wanted more for me to download it than it cost in the store.

Whew, good thing I wasn't talking about mp3's. I was talking file sharing in general.

Me personally, have a 60 gb Ipod and 5,850 songs. All i do is copy My CDs, which isn't much and add my library from back when Napster was the sh!t, when i was like in 10th grade. And then i just use my external Hard drive and swap libraries with my friends, give them mine, they give me theirs. And anything new that i really want, i just buy it from Itunes. The only downside of that is that you can't share Itunes music without giving up your password. So i would recommend doing that. I have my Ipod plugged into my Auxillery in my Deck so That's all i use for music.

On a different note, The Microsoft ZUNE just came out, but i heard that ALL of the music for that is going to be copyrighted like a mofo. Which makes for no swapping. So i'de recommend stealing your friends music and getting a 30gb Video Ipod. 512 MB MP3 player will only hold like.. 10 albums maybe. So you would have to constantly update it to keep the music fresh, you know?

FOr the most part, 10 albums would be fine. I acutally rarely listen to anything other than the radio. I use it to catch up with news and such. I play CD's and such when my daughter is in the car (3 y/o). Helps her travel (she loves Shania LOL). I just want to replace some of the songs that I really liked that were in the truck when it was stolen. New car has am MP3 input and since this was free, I though it would be good for just me.
