Ive got a set of those clamps that will compress front coil springs to lower a vehicle kicking around somewhere. Would it be ok to use these to bring the front of my truck down a little until I get my springs and spindles?
let me be sure of something here so i know i read it right.
you're talking about the clamps used when compressing a spring to take it our right?
and wanting to use those...........to lower the front of your truck.....

Just use a cut off wheel on a grinder and cut a ring off the coil, it sounds a lot safer than what you want to do.

No, they make a clamp made for this, a gettho drop kit I guess, it can also be used to lift the front if you turn it around.

I am still sticking by with what I said cut a ring of your coil and call er good. But really ,lowering coils can be had for around 100 bucks new, why cheap out?

Because when I do them, Im doing everything at once, spindles, springs and new bushings on EVERYTHING alonge with all new steering parts.

i've never seen those before, if you already have some, go for it but i wouldn't spend money on them

Do it, if its made for that than i guess it's a temporary solution... I know they use those sometimes to be a cheap fix for sagging spring on old cars
