Reason I ask is because on a 96 mustang I owned once I removed the cats it seemed like I kept having problems with my EGR valve my IAC and a few other things kept throwing a engine code.

Even after a I had it dyno tuned.

So if you have your cats removed did you notice any problems or what not?

Also if any of you live in cali, how did you pass smog?

I am not running a cat on my 95 and haven't had any problem what so ever. sorry didn't see the 99+ part. A couple o2 somulators and you should be fine.

With O2 simulators you wont have any problems for sure. Or you could get a pcm tune and get the rear o2 sensors deleted. If you dont do either it will throw a code and make the motor run a little rich but nothing serious. My friend has ahd his cats off of his o2 for a year or so and hasnt had any problems do to it just the light on.
