View Full Version : old school hot rod(what kind of flat black paint, rims and white walls)

my father just gave me his 1979 2 wheel drive chevy blazer its already slammed,shaved but my question is what kind of flat black paint should i use to give it that old school hot rod look and if i need clear coat, and i want to get some white wall tires any brands or suggestions on gettin them and what kind of rims do most of the old schol hot rods have ive noticed there kind of just a stealie rim painted red but thats the look iam going for so any suggestions or anything to guide me in the right direction would be gladly appriciated

Coker Tire for Wide Whites
And as far as paint..flat black is okay but marks easily..,.for a nice old school look but something that doesnt turn into crap is Semi satin black

just run your stocker 15" steel wheels. i have an 84 blazer, and that is black and i'm going to be painting the stocker steel wheels black.

Try Looking Into "hot Rod Flatz" Paint They Make Alot Of Satin And Flat Paint Thats Cheap And Easy To Use. Also Get Some Smoothies Or Big Retro Loking Wheels With White Walls

2. :word: But look to spend as much for the 15" BFG wide whites as you would for a 20" tire.
3. Look into Hot Rod Flatz, their products come highly recommended.
